Next Gen Home Economics Course Syllabus

General Information


This course is the advance program within the teen series. The concentrated emphasis for this program is to give a young adult teenager a solid understanding of basic transferable life skills. This course includes How to Search for a Job, Resume Structure, filling out that first application, Interviewing, Myfirst budget, teen taxes, Myfirst Savings, and Myfirst 401k.

Expectations and Goals

Upon completion of this eight (8) hour course, the young adult would know all basic areas of not only getting a job, but how to budget their earnings and set up their first 401k.

  • Note book (preferably a composition book), pencil and pen.
  • Bag Lunch

  • The recommended age for this course is 15-18 years of age.
